The team at Northpark Dental is especially interested in making you and your child feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is happy to be a part of the Irvine community, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest in technological advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Janice Y. Park-Kim, DDS FAAPD
Board-certified Pediatric Dentist
A graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, Dr. Janice Park-Kim completed a one-year general practice residency at Rancho Los Amigos National Medical Center followed by a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry specialty at USC.

A board certified specialist in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Park-Kim is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry with the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry and an attending faculty with the Rancho Los Amigos National Medical Center, Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and volunteering with Headstart for Children.
James W. Kim, DDS FACP
Board-certified Prosthodontist
Dr. James Kim is excited to be practicing dentistry with his wife, Dr. Janice Park-Kim, in Irvine. He graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with bachelor’s degree in Cybernetics. He then went on to earn his DDS degree and specialty certificate in prosthodontics from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where he graduated Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He was in top 3% of his class in academic and clinical performance at USC. In practice for over 15 years, Dr. Kim often lectures to dental study clubs and dental organizations and taught as an Associate Professor in Clinical Dentistry in the Department of Advanced Prosthodontics at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC for 7 years. His passion for dentistry is reflected in the meticulous restorative treatment he provides to his patients.

Dr. Kim is a board certified prosthodontist. He specializes in helping patients with complex and extensive dental problems. Dr. Kim values his conservative approach to treatment planning and meticulous clinical work to achieve optimum oral health and comfort for his patients. He understands that careful listening to the patient’s concerns is critical in developing a comprehensive treatment plan that encompasses all the patient’s needs.

In order to provide his patients with the most modern advancements in dentistry, Dr. Kim is committed to a lifelong learning and pursues a great deal of continuing education in all fields of preventive, restorative and implant dentistry . He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Orange County Dental Society and the American College of Prosthodontists. In his spare time, Dr. Kim enjoys exploring fun activities with his family and participating in sports with his two boys, Jake and Jeff.
Clara Kim, DMD FAAP
Board-certified Periodontist
Dr. Clara Kim graduated from University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelors Degree in Molecular Cell Biology specializing in Neurobiology. Dr. Clara then attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she received D.M.D. and was the recipient of outstanding student award in Periodontology.
Dr. Clara went on to specialize in periodontics and dental implant surgery at University of Southern California and received specialty certificate and MS (Master of Science) degree. After graduating, she was asked to teach at USC and involved in preclinical and clinical teaching as an Assistant Professor of Periodontology. She currently teaches in the field of Periodontology at Western University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Clara is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the California Society of Periodontists, the California Dental Association, and the Los Angeles Dental Society.
